About New Music Roundup
New Music Roundup is a weekly digest of notable new album releases, aggregating scores and coverage from 13+ trusted music publications and databases into a single, at-a-glance view.
Every Friday, a pipeline scrapes each source, deduplicates releases using MusicBrainz as the canonical identifier, normalises scores to a common 0–10 scale, and computes a weighted aggregate score for each album. The result is published here as a static site. See the Methodology page for full details on how scores are calculated.
